The name “Huracan” comes from the Spanish word for hurricane.
The Huracan that this Lamborghini was based off of was not a hurricane at all though. It was actually based off of the name of a Spanish fighting bull from 1879, a bull that well known for its courageous character.
This is no surprise, as most Lamborghini model names come from fighting bulls. The question should be, why is this the most courageous Lamborghini of them all? Let’s dig in a little bit deeper and find out.
A History of the Lamborghini Huracan
The Lamborghini was manufactured for a 2014 release and was meant to replace the popular Gallardo. The luxury sports car debuted at the Geneva Auto Show in 2014 before being officially released to the public the latter half of 2014.
It was given the LP 610-4 layout name, as it came with 610 metric horsepower paired with a four-wheel drive system. The LP means “longitudinale posteriore”, which does not refer to the seating, but actually the mid-rear engine.

It uses a 5.2L V-10 naturally aspirated engine and a 7-speed dual clutch. The full-LED lighting system quite astounding, and thanks to modern technology, the 12.3” TFT instrument panel gives you everything you need for a space-like ride.
